Funding for the Champlain Diabetes Chiropody Program has been made available by the Champlain LHIN to improve access and remove barriers to foot care services for high risk patients living with diabetes in the Champlain region.

Treatment services will focus on high risk clients with diabetic foot ulcers. Foot care training and consultation will be available to partner health care providers by the chiropodists; please contact the program for more information.

The regional program is hosted at Centretown Community Health Centre and provides diabetes chiropody services to many locations throughout the region.  The development of this regional program was based on an analysis of gaps in services completed for the Champlain Diabetes Regional Advisory Committee. The program has many partnerships underway to make services available across Champlain and is strongly connected with our local diabetes education programs.
